As a business organization, the Phoenixville Area Business Association (PABA) represents companies and business interests in the Borough of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania as well as the villages of Mont Clare and Phoenixville and the outlying townships of Schuylkill, East Pikeland, West Pikeland, East Vincent, Charlestown and Tredyffrin in Chester County and Upper Providence, Lower Providence and Upper Merion in Montgomery County. In fact, the geographic proximity of a number of areas have been and continue to be important contributors to Phoenixville's success and revitalization.

The last several years have been very promising for the Northern Chester County Borough. A former steel town that had suffered some decades of economic decline after that industry's deterioration, Phoenixville has realized steady growth thanks–in no small part–to the grass roots efforts by organizations like PABA.

In fact, PABA has a more than thirty-year history in Phoenixville as the advocate for the small businesses, shops and restaurants that call the Borough home. PABA is completely comprised of and operated by local business owners and leaders of various non-profit organizations who have a vested interest in the development of Phoenixville and care about the community. In it's current state, the PABA focuses on continually improving the economic climate in and around the Borough of Phoenixville through the collaborative efforts of all owner-members with proactive marketing, consumer education and community events.
